Fix the 'chopping' exploit
Bret Hooghkirk
You would think that there could be a way to track positioning of hands and higher points for bringing hands back into proper position.
Jimmy Nakamura
I agree that a fix is needed for this. It's fine to say that "you are only cheating yourself" by using this exploit, but FitXR is set up with a competitive element to it, so removing exploits makes sense. I wouldn't mind adding a new type of target that requires a chopping type hit, though.

The leaderboard request by some is interesting. Personally, I only care to see my personal leaderboard. I only want to beat myself and use that to drive myself better. If I cheat/exploit, I am only hurting myself. If others want to exploit for some frivolous leaderboard, so be it. I'll still pummel their scores. 😁

Kevin J. Dugan Jr.: I use the leaderboard to help encourage me to do better. Yes, I am only competing against myself in reality (I don't care how well the others do), but the others are there as a goal to achieve.

I read this a while back and didn’t know what it was referring to but now I see it that often the people with the top scores look like they’re “wiping” the targets with their jabs and straights - their punches go in a curve from high to low. So if I have an average punch speed of 6.2 or something and longer streaks than them I’m still maybe 10-20% behind on points. Also when there are sections with lots of hooks and uppercuts their lead shrinks and then when there are lots of jabs and straights it grows again.
Having said that, it’s more a curiosity than anything - I mean is some people are weird enough to cheat on a fitness game then have at it. It’s like getting upset that the guy on the electric bike is going faster than you can go by pedalling. It’s exercise, so if they don’t want to exercise that’s up to them. You can tell who they are from their scores and by looking at them so it’s easy to ignore them.

This could be fixed by allowing for chops in [T] mode, but not standard scoring mode. Or creating a new boxing or form mode that has stricter rules about striking angles. You could also/instead have specific workouts that disallow chopping. So if it is a problem that FitXR wants to fix, there are many ways to approach it. These are just a few.

James McHie: add “freestyle” section for the non traditional
Christophe Michon
Sorry for my english (french player), but what's the precisely system flaw? People are cutting verticaly or horizontaly orbs made for a straight punch ? :O
How is it more easy to do like that?
James McHie
Christophe Michon: I don't know exactly why the physiology of it works the way it does, but what you find is that choppers generate more speed on regular orbs than when you jab. This translates into a higher score.

Up this... Fix is necessary and urgent

Yes!!!! This is so annoying!!!! I always feel like I’m doing so badly but when I look at other “players” they are ‘chopping’ the orbs and getting maximum explosive streaks and FitXR points. Very unfair and demoralising when you are doing it properly and trying your best. I got so upset that I went on solo mode but I shouldn’t have to.

Anne-Marie Stephens: Are you beating your own personal best? If you are, then feel good about that. You know your effort, you know your quality. Measure yourself against yourself.
